The Reason to Live *During World War II, Jewish doctor Viktor Frankl was imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp. It was a place worse than hell. He contracted typhus and suffered from high fever, hovering between life and death. But he did not give up on life. He had a reason to live. Having overcome his illness, Viktor Frankl began to observe the inmates of Auschwitz. He discovered that those with meaningful goals were more likely to survive.
What is your reason to live? If asked, how would you answer? We live for the people we love. We must live because we have noble goals and dreams. We must work harder to survive to prove that hardships and adversity are not the end of despair but the beginning of hope. Being alive is love. It is the greatest victory.
