Self-Dignity

Self-Dignity

The ancient Egyptian pharaohs would start their day by entering a temple at dawn to perform rituals. This was their way of receiving their mission and gaining strength from the gods. The rulers would undergo a personal transformation each morning, reminding themselves of their dignity as human beings and reaffirming their mission. They found strength and sought new revolutions each dawn.

Meeting the dawn means gaining new life for the day. Revolutionizing oneself every morning symbolizes starting anew each day. It begins with recognizing one’s dignity daily. Losing self-dignity results in the collapse of personal revolution, and the mission granted by the heavens loses its light. Self-dignity must be realized and maintained independently.*
