The Demons of Fear
Recognizing and accepting fear reduces its power and deepens one’s sense of presence. Through practice, one can stop resisting and realize that the demons disappear. Although fear persists, reconnecting with a greater sense of presence and self-compassion helps to stay balanced.
Demons are all around us – demons of fear, discouragement, despair, and terror. They appear frequently, making our lives difficult, and sometimes even push us toward extreme decisions. The way to overcome these demons is not to avoid them but to face them, even if it means taking a step back without turning our backs on them.*
