The wonders and sublimity, joy and delight, as well as the fear, anxiety, and pain—these are all parts of life in Jeju. Birth and death, light and shadow, all these things are not separate but one. We learn this with our body and soul.

In the sea, there are waves, and within the waves, there is the sea. The sea is waves, and the waves are the sea. An island is not just an island, and the sea is not just the sea. Because the sea exists, the island exists; and because the island exists, we call it the sea. Because you are, I am, and because I am, you are.
