The great victors in life Nature distinguishes between what should be kept and what should not be retained. It teaches us clearly what to erase and what not to erase through the wisdom of the seasons. However, humans hold on to many unnecessary things. This accumulation and irrational attachment may be the root cause of today’s contradictions and conflicts. The path we tread is a journey back to our true selves. Knowing when to leave signifies a rich spirit. Those with clear rearviews likely have radiant souls. When I leave this world, will I be able to show a beautiful rearview too?
A flower bears fruit by shedding itself and completely erasing itself. Cicadas and snakes shed their skins to get new bodies. Disposing of and acquiring things are all part of nature’s order. To gain, you must discard. Defying this is unnatural (逆理), and following it is natural (順理). After living a life following the natural way, leaving behind a clear and beautiful rearview is a true victor in life. The great victor.
