The Key to Becoming a Winning Pitcher
As a professional golfer, I counsel six clients, always repeating this advice to them: “Play with a positive attitude in tournaments. It increases your chances of achieving a good score.” In sports, the “mood” often decides the outcome. When the player Ohtani steps up to bat with a positive mindset, he’s more likely to hit a home run. Likewise, when he takes the mound with a good feeling, his chances of becoming the winning pitcher increase.
‘Your mood can determine the outcome.’
This advice isn’t limited to athletes. Fighter pilots also claim that their mood on any given day can influence their survival. Split-second decisions can be life-or-death. Therefore, professionals in life-or-death fields, like soldiers or firefighters, and their partners, should pay special attention to emotional management. This is the key to becoming a winning pitcher.
