If Liszt was a distinguished pianist, Chopin was a unique performer. The volume of sound Chopin produced wasn’t large. Chopin compared his and Liszt’s playing styles and said, “Liszt plays as if to be heard by thousands, but I play for one person.”

What is meant for one person is for everyone. Mother Teresa also said, “If you embrace one person at a time, you can embrace the whole world.” I write my morning letters with the same heart. These letters are not randomly distributed to 4 million readers. I write them with the intention of sending them to just one person each day. When one person is moved by Chopin’s music, many are moved as well.
