Years ago, I experienced several sleepless nights in a row due to insomnia. If I had simply lain in bed trying to overcome it, it would have taken a long time. Instead, I would get up and go for a walk, returning exhausted by dawn. During this process, I conquered my insomnia.
Difficulty sleeping means there’s still energy left to be expended, whether mental or physical. We need to let go of the obsession with having to sleep that night and use up our energy. If you can’t sleep, read a book or practice breathing exercises through the night. Sleep will come naturally.
