Keep Your Mouth Shut
People don’t say everything, they only mention part of it. Naturally, the listener also only knows a small portion, not everything. Yet, we often judge and try to teach others as if we know it all, which makes conflicts unavoidable. This might be why the saying “keep your mouth shut” came about.
No matter how much you know, it’s never everything, just a small part. No matter how much you have, it’s never all, just fragments. There’s no need to boast about knowing a lot, or flaunting what you have, as it only brings scorn and conflict. A true master speaks sparingly, listens in silence.
knowledge, silence, conflict
