Core of Character
If you ask me what the essence of character is,
I would say living with sincerity and loving our neighbors.
Humans are not animals, and apart from selfish people,
we have the potential and hope to live humanely.
That is what I would call character.

If you were to choose only one thing
that people must do in their lifetime,
wouldn’t it be completing oneself and building one’s character?
The core of character is learning a lot, doing many things,
and sharing with others. Living humanely is
a continuous process of perfecting one’s character. With the life
we are given, we strive to cultivate our character and live humanely
every day.
