Words should not be spoken recklessly, but as I age, words spill out thoughtlessly. As my body grows older, so does my mouth. Although I know that words should not be spoken carelessly, my thoughtless words pierce hearts. My lips, like withered petals, crinkle up. I quietly touch my lips alone.
Words spoken without care; The aging poet humbly blames it on age and an aging body, but it is not due to age or an aging body. It is the habit of thoughtlessly moving one’s lips. As we age, we should think more deeply and speak more gently. Failing to do so is akin to carrying a ‘dagger’ in our words.
