A Wise Person, A Wise Life

A Wise Person, A Wise Life
A wise person will endure pain and discomfort, such as undergoing surgery or engaging in intense physical exercise. If it makes their body healthier and, more importantly, improves their character, they will endure it. Similarly, they will give up pleasures like instant food, drugs, alcohol, or sleeping late. Everything returns to the exercise of reason and the goal of living a wise life.

To be a wise person, one must live a wise life. No, it is by living a wise life that one becomes a wise person. A wise person endures pain and discomfort not mindlessly, but to find meaning and lessons in it. That is how one lives.
