Bitter Medicine
I still remember the long process of healing from the burn marks.
During that time, I diligently drank the bitter herbal medicine my mother carefully prepared.
Even adults found it hard to consume, yet as a child, I took it well, thanks to the praises from my mother and father.
The reason for taking bitter medicine is simple.
Though it tastes bad, it’s good for the body.
Despite this, children never like bitter medicine.
That’s when praise comes into play.
The more children struggle, the more they need their parents’ encouragement.
Praise helps them take the bitter medicine well.
