The reason for traveling
When I stripped away my native language and culture,
What remained was an awkward individual who struggled to tidy their shoes at someone else’s doorstep and often felt flustered by unexpected gestures of kindness.
And that was good. It allowed me to discover parts of myself I had never known.
Traveling introduces you to new places, foods, and people,
but it also lets you meet different facets of yourself that you may not have known.
The brave you, the hesitant you, the you that laughs, and the you that cries.
Thus, on the journey back home, you reunite with another version of yourself.
This is why we travel.
discover, facets, journey
