Walking Alone

Walking Alone

I’m drawn to people who walk alone. Perhaps it’s because I have that tendency too. I enjoy walking with friends, but those times feel more like chat sessions. I value my time walking alone because it helps me find solutions to personal or other issues. At the heart of creativity and imagination is walking.

There are many solo walkers on the Camino de Santiago. Walking alone, you meet others who walk alone. They open their hearts, revealing their pain and sorrows, and uproot long-buried bitterness. In that healed space, they plant new seeds of imagination and hope. Walking alone no longer feels lonely. Your steps become lighter.
