“I Did It on Purpose”
Paying the price and enduring pain is the only way we can live well again. From this perspective, pain is a growing pain that helps us mature into a more mature self. It turns us into people who act with will and freedom, rather than simply reacting. Taking responsibility means saying “I did it on purpose” instead of “I had no choice but to act that way.”
It is a heartbreaking reality. None of us are free from responsibility. To prevent the pain from repeating, I will reflect on myself first. I will confidently say, “I did it on purpose” and take responsibility for my actions.**
