Breathing shapes our existence.
Human beings have undergone a long evolutionary journey, and in the process, our breathing ability has changed. However, since the rise of industrial society, our breathing patterns have significantly deteriorated. Researchers have discovered that the endless increase in chronic illnesses—and their worsening severity—can be traced back to improper breathing.
Breathing is life itself. It is the fundamental act that keeps us alive, occurring effortlessly whether awake or asleep. Yet, modern life is gradually distorting this natural function. Deep, intentional breathing is becoming rare. Mastering deep breathing is a skill—one of the core elements of meditation. It requires conscious practice and dedication to truly refine.
