When Someone Comes to You
When someone comes to you,
it’s not just a casual moment.
It’s something truly profound.
They bring with them their past,
their present,
and the future they’re still shaping.
A whole life story walks through the door.
They bring a heart—
fragile,
sometimes already broken—
a heart that the wind itself
might gently trace with its fingers.
Yes,
when someone arrives, it’s a powerful thing.
And when someone leaves,
it’s even more powerful.
As a pastor, I feel this deeply.
Wherever you are,
don’t let people drift away.
Invite more in.
So many have come to our retreat in the deep woods.
I’m one of them.
There, you’ll find stillness,
clarity,
and healing.
It’s a place that feels untouched by the noise of the world—
a mountain of spirit beyond the atmosphere of this chaotic age.
Many came last year.
I hope even more will come in the new one.
life, presence, healing
