Eating with Intention

Eating with Intention

We rarely think about each breath we take— but when we do, we realize how miraculous and essential it is. The same goes for eating. If we’re rushing through a meal, we lose track of what we’re doing— food might as well be going in through our nose or ears. We miss the love behind the meal, the care of those who prepared it, and the lives that made it possible.

A meal isn’t something to “get over with.” It’s not just fuel. Like breathing, each bite deserves our attention. We should taste the work of the farmer, the hands of the cook, and the love of those who feed us. So slow down. Let your food enter through your mouth— not through your hurry.
