The Road No One Has Taken
Martha’s Vineyard feels alive today. For those who welcome visitors, there is no option to say, “Come back later, we’re not ready.” Each day must be fresh, because tomorrow brings new people. If we only preserve what is already good, it becomes a relic of the past.
Spring brings excitement, summer is full of energy, autumn turns into poetry with its colors, but nothing compares to a winter dawn. After a night at the seaside inn, standing before tall pines holding heavy snow on their branches, words fall silent. That morning belongs entirely to me.
The road no one has taken— I can choose to walk it.
Not long ago, I visited Martha’s Vineyard. At dawn, I saw proof that today’s beauty exists because someone once walked a path no one else dared to take. The same is true for the hidden spring: it remains because people chose to walk together on untrodden ground.
That is why today is good, tomorrow will be good, and every season carries its own gift. Spring blossoms, summer shines green, autumn dazzles, and winter is beautiful with snow.
