Say Their Name with Love
Call your child by their name—clearly, gently, and with care.
When a parent speaks their child’s name with intention,
the child feels seen, respected, and valued.
Their sense of self grows stronger.
Their pride in who they are begins to bloom.
I didn’t start out as a mom who yelled.
I wanted to do everything right.
I wanted to be perfect.
But life didn’t go that way.
There were moments I questioned whether I deserved
to be called “Mom.”
And guilt weighed heavily on me.
Now, I find comfort in simply saying my child’s name
with love in my heart.
I’ve come to accept that I’ll never be perfect.
So when things get hard, I say their name.
I hold them close,
and let my love speak louder than my flaws.
Say their name.
Hold them with your whole heart.
respect, presence, love
