Never Broken Again

Or perhaps,
Even This Pain Can Be Endured
A wounded veteran once shared these words on his blog:
“I was shattered. Torn apart.
The battles I can’t fight, the medicine fights for me instead.
Morphine against pain.
My body is the battlefield. My mind, the casualty.”
He still fights, even with a broken body.
He still wanders through the battlefield of pain, scarred and battered.
And just as a nation must heal its own wounds,
I too will never break again.
