Medicine or Poison
Strictly speaking, there’s no such thing as poison. Something becomes poison only when our cells react to it that way. The same goes for medicine—when taken in the right amount, it can kill harmful bacteria. But too much of it can harm the body itself.
Even healthy food can be healing when eaten in moderation. But when we overeat, it turns into poison.
We all know this, yet it’s hard to follow. We eat lots of tasty things thinking they’re good for us, but they often end up hurting us instead. Just because something tastes good or is labeled healthy doesn’t mean we should eat a lot of it.
Choosing wisely and eating less is how we protect our precious bodies. Food should never become poison.
