Small brain, vast self

Small brain, vast self

Sometimes, even the tiniest mistake can make us feel like the world is crashing down.
But if you take a step back, most slip-ups aren’t that serious.
They can be fixed.
The real trouble begins when we get disappointed in ourselves—
that’s when logic stops working.
It’s as if only the part of our brain that detects failure is lit up,
while everything else goes dark.
We’re not easy to define.
Some days we feel as expansive as the universe,
other days, as small as a grain of rice.
When negative thoughts creep in—triggered by a mistake or a moment of self-doubt—
shake them off and take a walk in nature.
You’ll soon notice a larger, wiser version of yourself
quietly watching those thoughts with a smile.
