Bach, Mozart, Beethoven

Bach, Mozart, Beethoven

Mozart traveled often.
He was deeply influenced by many great musicians—
one of them was Johann Christian Bach.
When Mozart was still a child,
he met Bach in London,
who taught him how to write symphonies.
Mozart, having received such support and kindness from a mentor,
passed it on to the next generation.
One day in 1787,
a young boy came to visit him.
It was Beethoven.
Mozart, then thirty-one,
was so impressed by the seventeen-year-old
that he said:
“Keep your eyes on this young man.
He will make his name known to the world.”

Bach mentored Mozart.
Mozart mentored Beethoven.
Even the most gifted talents
need a great teacher to truly bloom.
And when that student
goes on to surpass the mentor,
and the mentor feels pride instead of envy—
that’s when the relationship becomes something truly meaningful.
