The Body Keeps Changing
Just when you think you’ve finished growing, your body surprises you.
A new mole appears out of nowhere. A bump that wasn’t there before starts to bother you.
A scar quietly shifts shape. A patch of skin gets irritated and spreads.
Like the light and wind that never repeat themselves from one day to the next,
your body is never exactly the same.
And so is the heart.
It lifts, then drops.
Even love dances with doubt and mood swings.
Firm decisions waver in the gentlest breeze.
That’s what it means to be human—alive and changing.
Only dead trees stay the same, frozen in place like fossils.
