The Inner Child

The Inner Child

Inside each of us lives an inner child—one that rarely grows up, even as we age.
This child holds onto a pure, innocent spirit, like Peter Pan.
Sometimes it’s a sweet presence, full of wonder.
Other times, it’s a wounded soul, quietly crying, unable to ask for help out loud.
Everyone has an inner child.
Most days, it hides in the background, barely noticeable.
But when life throws us off balance, it suddenly shows up.
That’s when the buried pain and deep-rooted hurt shake us from within.
When we learn to comfort and care for the wounds of that sleeping child in our subconscious,
we can find peace in who we are today.
