A Grateful Heart

A Grateful Heart

Someone who shines brightly in childhood may see that light fade as they grow older.
Someone overlooked in their youth may discover their brilliance later in life.
Neither path is better or worse—it is simply different.
Those born with much must first learn the lessons of loss.
Those who begin with little must first learn the lessons of gaining.
To live without much and gradually build a life of meaning can sometimes lead to the illusion that everything we hold was simply given. Yet life teaches us otherwise: sometimes we gain, sometimes we lose. What matters is not deciding which is better, but carrying a grateful heart through it all.
