The Birth of Heroes
A recent report revealed that many of the figures who changed the course of history grew up as orphans. Golda Meir, who laid the foundation for the state of Israel, was an orphan. Napoleon, who challenged the monarchies of Europe with cries for freedom, was also an orphan. Even Moses, one of the most revered leaders in Israel’s history, was separated from his parents at just three months old and raised apart from his family.
There is no sorrow quite like growing up without parents, and no pain as deep as losing them. Many children collapse under the weight of that grief. Yet some rise above it, turning hardship into strength. They grow into heroes who move the world and reshape history.
