Eating Too Much
For the first time in history, more people die from overeating than from hunger.
More people pass away from old age than from infectious diseases, and more take their own lives than die at the hands of soldiers, terrorists, or criminals.
In the 21st century, the average person is far more likely to die from binge eating at a fast-food chain than from drought, Ebola, or a terrorist attack.
“Eating too much can shorten your life.”
It is a sobering warning. Yet even now, many struggle to break the habit of overeating.
The best health advice of our time may be the simplest: eat less and move more.
