The Joy of Total Immersion

I believe that every form of art draws its originality and intuition from complete immersion.
There wasn’t a single moment in my day when I wasn’t dancing ballet.
Whether I was talking to someone or walking down the street,
every emotion I felt poured into my movement.

You can’t reach that level of obsession unless you truly love what you do.
I gave myself to it because it was the most joyful, exhilarating thing I could imagine.

To achieve anything meaningful,
you have to throw yourself into it with wild devotion.
Once or twice won’t cut it.
You have to show up every day, every moment.
You have to love it.
The ones who love it like crazy
are the ones who win.
