Turning Point

Turning Point

Even now, I can recall that day with absolute clarity.
The day I first set out toward the desert—thirty-five years have passed since then, yet it remains vivid.
I was seventeen, and during a six-week summer break I left Hamburg, traveled through Paris and Barcelona, and journeyed on to North Africa.
That trip changed my life completely.

Sometimes a single experience can alter the course of a person’s destiny.
We call that a turning point.
It is the spark of a new challenge, the beginning of a fresh journey, the start of something extraordinary.
