Just Keep Practicing

Why isn’t this movement working? I asked a few experienced instructors. They paused for a moment, then simply said, “You just need to keep practicing.” I asked a few more, and the answer was always the same. So I didn’t try anything special—I just practiced.

After a day or two, the movement started to feel natural, as if it had always been that way. I could suddenly feel the sharp, precise glide of my toes across the floor. It was surprising, even a little magical.

Practice is repetition. Not overthinking, not analyzing—just doing it again and again. Repetition is practice, and practice is repetition. Whether it’s training, meditation, or any skill, it’s the steady rhythm of doing that builds mastery. Champions are made through relentless repetition. Hoping for health or happiness without effort is like expecting a harvest without planting seeds.
