Say You Are Hurting When You Hurt

Say You Are Hurting When You Hurt

Pain begins to heal the moment it is spoken aloud. Once expressed, it no longer holds the same weight. There’s an old story about a king whose secret was revealed at great risk, yet through that act of honesty, healing came. When we stop focusing only on fixing the problem and instead allow it to be seen, the possibility of resolution opens up. In speaking out for our own survival, we also bring healing to those around us.

There’s a saying: Illness should be spoken of openly. Only then can the right doctor and the right remedy be found. Pain, too, should not be hidden away. When we share it, ways to heal appear. And the lessons we gain from that honesty can save not just ourselves, but others as well. So when you are hurting, say it.
