The First Step Is to Walk

The First Step Is to Walk

When we’re young, it’s okay not to know the way.
There’s plenty of time ahead.
Even if we know the path, we might choose not to walk it,
thinking we can start whenever we want.
After all, with enough willpower, walking seems easy.

But if we don’t walk, we eventually lose the ability to.
Not because we lack motivation,
but because we lack experience and skill.
And by the time we realize that,
youth has already slipped away.

No matter how much we know,
if we don’t act on it, it amounts to nothing.
Knowledge without action is zero.
To turn knowing into habit,
we have to move—literally.
So from now on, I’ll walk with purpose.
