Being True to Myself

Being True to Myself

In the past, I held back my anger. I believed that showing it would invite negativity into my life. I also didn’t want to worry those around me, so I tried hard to control my thoughts and pushed myself to stay positive all the time. But now I understand something deeper. The real key is to honor myself as I am and to remain grounded in my own truth.

Simply suppressing anger is not the answer. Forcing myself to control every emotion isn’t healthy either. What truly matters is learning to guide my inner world. With practice, even situations that once made me furious can be met with calmer, more uplifting feelings. And the starting point is respect. When I accept myself as I am, offering kindness and patience to my own heart, the reasons to get angry begin to fade.
