Wise Idleness
Laziness isn’t always what it seems.
It’s not just about being idle or unmotivated.
In nature, wild animals act only according to strategies shaped by evolution.
Anyone who’s spent time observing them knows
that doing nothing can often be the smartest move.
Many animals spend a large part of their day resting.
Humans are the only ones who burn energy
just for the sake of exercising their muscles.
Rest is not laziness.
It’s how we conserve energy and recharge.
Running nonstop doesn’t mean you’re doing well.
If you never pause, life will eventually force you to.
Before that happens, take a moment to breathe,
to do nothing, to simply be.
That’s wise idleness.
