Three Ways to Gain Wisdom
There are three ways to gain wisdom. The first is through meditation, a noble and refined path. The second is through imitation, which is the easiest but often the least fulfilling. The third is through experience, the most difficult of all. These words, attributed to Confucius, offer a timeless framework for personal growth. Of course, the journey to wisdom isn’t limited to just these three. Still, it’s striking that meditation is placed first. Meditation is about reflection and healing. Only after we’ve looked inward and begun to heal can imitation and experience truly lead to living wisdom—wisdom that resonates with our own life and choices.
