Imagination and Books
When I have free time, I find myself choosing between two things: imagination and books. Books are not only for moments of boredom but also when I want something different. Unlike puzzles that lose their charm after one try, books never grow old; I can read them again and again without losing interest. Classics like Fabre’s Book of Insects or the tales of Greek and Roman mythology still captivate me. Imagination and books share much in common. Both allow me to spend time alone, both deepen and enrich my thoughts. If imagination is the distant target, then books are the arrows. By sending those arrows over and over, the world of imagination I long for eventually comes within reach.
