Embracing Life with Open Arms

Embracing Life with Open Arms

When I was a child, I believed that those in high places were the ones who mattered most.
In my youth, I longed for things that were far away, thinking they held the greatest value.
But now, in my seventies, I’ve come to cherish the things my eyes rest on and my hands can reach.

I want to embrace every person and everything around me with open arms.

This simple truth—everything is precious, and I want to hold it all close—is a realization that came with age.
It’s a passionate declaration born from regret, sorrow, and frustration over the times I couldn’t live that way.
So before we grow older, while we still have strength, let’s embrace as much as we can, as often as we can.
Let that be the way we live.
