Because I Don’t Hold Tightly

I often drop things. There’s only one reason for it: because I don’t hold them tightly. There’s also just one reason for that. It’s not that I think it’s okay to drop things, but I don’t think it’s absolutely not okay to drop them either. This is often why our flaws remain unresolved.

Our elders used to express love with a delicate touch, saying, “Hold it as if it might break, blow it as if it might fly away.” They would dance joyfully, moved by their hearts. To love deeply without holding too tightly, one must stay focused. When body and soul become one in love, it allows us to overcome each other’s flaws.
