Read Picture Books to Your Child
“Before it’s too late,
Before your child grows too big to fit in your arms,
Hold them more, read to them more.”
Looking at the picture books lined up on my shelf, I feel grateful.
As I wrote my manuscript, I found myself completely immersed in these stories,
wrapped in warmth and happiness.
It reaffirmed my belief that every fairy tale
should be read by adults first.
I remember my mother reading picture books to me when I was little.
She would hold me close and read in a gentle, soothing voice.
Now, I’ve grown up and become a mother myself.
But in the rush of daily life, I often struggle to find time
to read to my child.
Before they grow too big to hold,
I want to tell them I love them
and read them picture books—
just like my mother did for me.
