Hey Sinclair, our god is Abraxas.
He is both divine and demonic, holding
within himself a bright world and a dark one.
Abraxas never challenges your thoughts
or your dreams. Never forget this truth.
But if one day you become a flawless
ordinary man, Abraxas will leave you.
He will move on, searching for a new vessel
to carry and boil over with his vision.
We carry within us both good and evil.
Angels and demons coexist, as do light
and darkness. Only when we recognize
this reality can a whole human being
be completed, and Abraxas’ role will end.
He will then seek out those who still
refuse to acknowledge it.
This is why we return to Hesse’s Demian.
