Thorough Preparation for Explorers *Taking the time to prepare for a dangerous expedition may seem like a given, but surprisingly, many people skip this step. Even though I’ve done my share of climbing, every time I hear the tragic stories of explorers who perished in the snow, it often turns out they didn’t prepare the essential equipment or check the weather properly.
- From James Reed’s ‘The Quest Game’ –
Climbers, explorers, adventurers. These are the people who need the most thorough preparation. Being thoroughly prepared means anticipating every possible situation and checking everything from the ground up. Thinking ‘This should be fine’ often leads to disaster. Mastering the basics thoroughly is a fundamental rule in any field. Major catastrophes due to shoddy work happen all over the world. Most of them are man-made disasters.
